Traffic challan: Is your Delhi Traffic Police pending invoice? If yes, this is a great opportunity to settle them on 8 March 2025 in the National Lok Adalat. You should take a printout of the challan and reach the court on time and avoid fine. The National Lok Adalat will be held on 8 March 2025 in collaboration with Delhi State Legal Services Authority and Delhi Traffic Police. In this Lok Adalat, all types of trains will be dealt with private and commercial pending compoundable traffic challans and notices. Only those invoices and notices will be accepted which have shown pending pending on the Delhi Traffic Police Portal by 30 November 2024. Apart from this, other legal matters such as matrimonial disputes (except divorce), land acquisition cases etc. will also be settled.
Golden opportunity to settle the invoice
The Delhi Police has appealed to the train owners to come forward to settle their pending traffic challans, spot challans, violations of grapes (pollution) rules and other notices to settle on 8 March 2025 between 10 am and 4 pm.
Which cases will be settled?
Two types of cases are dealt with in Lok Adalat. First traffic police cases and second legal dispute.
1. Traffic Police Challan/Notice:
All compoundable invoices/notices which are pending till 30 November 2024.
2. Other cases include:
Criminal compoundable offense
Check bounce (Section 138, Negotiable Instrument Act)
Case of recovery of money
Motor vehicle accident compensation case (MACT)
Labor dispute
Electricity and water bill dispute
Marital dispute (except divorce)
Land acquisition case
Service cases related to salary allowance and retirement benefits
Pending revenue case in district courts and High Court
Other civil cases

How to deal with your challan?
According to the public notice issued by the Delhi Traffic Police, it is mandatory to download and print from the website of Delhi Traffic Police before taking all the invoices/notices to the Lok Adalat. There will be no printout facility in court premises.
To download the challan, log in to the website https://trafric.delhipolice.gov.in/Lokadalat on 3 March 2025 from 10 am. A maximum of 60,000 invoices/notices can be downloaded daily.
How many challans will be dealt with?
In Lok Adalat, every bench will settle a maximum of 1000 invoices/notice. A total of 1,80,000 invoices/notices will be settled in 180 Lok Adalat benches in Delhi. A maximum of 7 (5 notices and 2 challans) for private vehicles and maximum 2 notices/invoices for commercial vehicles will be accepted.
