Encounter in Abujhmad region

On Wednesday morning, the police informed that the encounter between security forces and Naxalites continues in Naxal -affected Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh. The encounter is taking place in the Abujhmad area of ​​the district. After receiving the news of the presence of Naxalites, the joint team of District Reserve Guard (DRG) Narayanpur, DRG Dantewada, DRG Bijapur and DRG Kondagaon was sent for anti -Naxal operations. A large number of Naxalites were killed in the encounter started during the search.

Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma said- “Security forces have killed more than 26 Naxalites … One of our soldiers is injured but he is out of danger. One of our colleagues lost his life during the operation … search operation is going on.”

Campaign to make Bastar Naxal -free

Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw said- “Since our formation of our government, there is a continuous campaign to make Bastar Naxal-free. Our security forces are constantly working in this direction concrete and firmly. There has been news of an encounter in Narayanpur area in which more than 2 dozen Naxalites are reported to have been killed. Certainly our security forces are working strongly till March 2026, so that our security force is working strongly. Minister Amit Shah has also set a deadline of March 2026 to make India Naxal -free.

Officials have said that security forces in Bastar division have killed more than 175 notorious Naxalites in the last four months during the anti -Naxal operation. Bastar division consists of seven districts including Bijapur.
