Sheikh Muhammad Ali Hamadi, a top leader of Hezbollah in Lebanon, was assassinated on Tuesday. According to the report of The Jerusalem Post, he was standing outside his home in the Bekaa Valley when terrorists in two vehicles attacked him.

Hamadi was shot several times in this attack. After this he was taken to a nearby hospital, but his life could not be saved. The unidentified assailants fled after the firing, the local administration is investigating the incident.

The reason behind Hamadi’s murder has not been known yet. Nor has anyone taken responsibility for it yet. According to Lebanese media reports, this murder is not political, but a four-year-old family dispute could be the reason for it. At the same time, in some reports, Israel’s hand is also being said to be behind this murder.

Murder took place before ceasefire deal ended After Hamadi’s murder, Lebanese security forces have started investigating it. At the same time, Hezbollah has not yet issued any official statement about the murder.

This assassination has taken place at a time when the ceasefire in Lebanon between Hezbollah and Israel is about to expire. A 60-day ceasefire deal was signed between Israel and Hezbollah on November 27. This deal expires on January 25, 2025. Talks are going on to take this ceasefire further.

On October 13, 1985, four terrorists of the Palestine Liberation Army (PLA) hijacked the American ‘TWA Flight 847’ flying from West Germany. There were 148 passengers and crew members in this aircraft.
