Today PM Modi will give New Year gifts to the people of Delhi, this is how the fate of thousands of people is going to change.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will give New Year gifts to thousands of Delhiites on Friday. At around 12.10 pm, the PM will visit newly constructed flats for slum residents under the In-Situ Slum Rehabilitation Project at Swabhiman Apartment in Ashok Vihar, Delhi. After this, at around 12.45 pm the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of many development projects in Delhi. PM Modi will inaugurate 1,675 newly constructed flats for slum dwellers in Delhi’s Ashok Vihar and will also hand over the keys of Swabhiman apartments to eligible beneficiaries.

The cost of a flat is Rs 25 lakh

Let us inform that with the inauguration of the newly constructed flats, the second successful in-situ slum rehabilitation project by Delhi Development Authority (DDA) will be completed. The objective of this project is to provide a better and healthy environment equipped with proper amenities to the slum dwellers in Delhi. For every Rs 25 lakh spent by the government on the construction of a flat, eligible beneficiaries pay less than 7 per cent of the total amount, which includes a nominal contribution of Rs 1.42 lakh and Rs 30,000 for 5 years of maintenance. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate two urban redevelopment projects, the World Trade Center (WTC) at Naoroji Nagar and the General Pool Residential Accommodation (GPRA) Type-II Quarters at Sarojini Nagar.

Know, what is special in Naoroji Nagar project

Let us tell you that the World Trade Center in Naoroji Nagar has rejuvenated the area by replacing more than 600 dilapidated quarters with state-of-the-art commercial towers. This has provided approximately 34 lakh square feet of premium commercial space with advanced amenities. The project incorporates green building practices, including provisions such as zero-discharge concept, solar power generation and rainwater harvesting system. The GPRA Type-II Quarter at Sarojini Nagar comprises 28 towers with over 2500 residential units with modern amenities and well-utilized space.

Modi will lay the foundation stone of Veer Savarkar College

PM Modi will inaugurate a new office complex of CBSE in Dwarka, Delhi, on which around Rs 300 crore has been spent. This building will have facilities like offices, auditorium, advanced data center, and water management system. The building is eco-friendly and has been designed as per the platinum rating standards of the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). Apart from this, the Prime Minister will launch 3 new projects costing more than Rs 600 crore in Delhi University. These include a new academic block at Surajmal Vihar in East Delhi, another academic block at the Western Campus in Dwarka, and a new building of Veer Savarkar College at Roshanpura in Najafgarh.
