Real estate company Omex will invest Rs 2,700 crore to upgrade bus terminals in Uttar Pradesh. On Friday, the company gave this information in its regulatory filing. According to PTI news, Omex said that Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) has described it for modernization of six major bus terminals in the state – Ghaziabad, Lucknow (Gomti Nagar), Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Ayodhya and Lucknow (Amausi) under the Public -Private Participation (PPP) model.
Subsidiary company will work through ‘Beetugher’
According to the news, Omex will work to upgrade bus terminals through its new setup subsidized subsidiary company ‘Beetugher’. The objective of these projects is to increase public transport infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh, as well as to integrate state -of -the -art commercial places. The real estate company says that with a total investment of around Rs 2700 crore, these projects are expected to generate more than Rs 4,700 crore.
These facilities will be in the bus terminal
The total sellable area in the project is 45.59 lakh square feet and the total constructed area for six projects is 70.80 lakh square feet. In the modernization of six bus terminals, inheritance -inspired architecture has been integrated with contemporary infrastructure to increase the convenience and commercial capacity of passengers. Each terminal will have an automatic ticketing system, digital display for real -time schedule, AC waiting lounge, charging stations, escalators, lifts and comfortable seating with advanced safety measures. In addition, the project includes retail places, food courts, banquet halls, studio apartments and office areas as well as adequate parking and important commercial development with EV charging stations.
