The team of Delhi Capitals instead of Australia’s Jake Fraser McGark, Bangladesh’s fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman joined the team for the remaining matches of IPL 2025. McGark has returned home and he will not return. He has told the management of Delhi Capitals about his decision.
Delhi Capitals paid 6 crores
The team of Delhi Capitals thought that even if Mitchell Starc does not arrive, Mustafizur Rahman could be useful in the death overs. For this reason, he paid 6 crore rupees to include Rahman in the squad. But now the big screw is stuck because of them.
Bangladesh has to play a series of two T20 matches against the UAE, whose matches will be played on May 17 and 19. Mustafizur Rahman has also got a place in the Bangladesh team for the T20 series. He wrote on the social media platform X that he has left to play the UAE T20 series. While the Delhi team has to play their first match against the Gujarat Titans on 18 May.

CEO Nizamuddin Chaudhary said that Mustafizur has to go to the UAE with the team as per the schedule. We have not received any message from IPL officers. I have not received any such official message from Mustafizur. The IPL announces the contrary to a player only after getting the NOC from his domestic board.
Mustafizur can join back by playing both T20 matches
Now the team of Delhi Capitals has announced to take them in the squad and they are going to UAE to play T20 series. Now it is likely that he played both T20 matches for Bangladesh and then join the Delhi team for IPL 2025.
