The IPL 2025 will conclude on 3 June. After this, the T20 league will start in different cities of the country. In this series, the Vidarbha Cricket Association has decided to organize the Vidarbha Pro T20 League. The league will begin from June 5 and the last match will be played on 15 June. All the matches of the league will be played at the VCA Stadium in Nagpur.
Vidarbha players will get golden opportunity through league
The Vidarbha Pro T20 League will have six franchise teams for men and three for women. All these teams will have a mixture of emerging young cricketers, local and experienced players of Vidarbha. The purpose of this tournament is to provide a platform to domestic talents and strengthen the structure of domestic cricket in Central India. Prashant Vaidya, chairman of the Vidarbha Pro T20 League’s Governing Council, has said that the inauguration of the league is a step towards recognizing our cricketers, which they deserve. He is committed to make it a world -class tournament and a celebration of local talent.
Umesh Yadav was made brand ambassador
Let us tell you that veteran player of Vidarbha Cricket Association and India’s fast bowler Umesh Yadav and former Indian women’s team fast bowler Jhulan Goswami have been made ambassadors of this league. Regarding Vidarbha Pro T20 League, Umesh Yadav said that it is fantastic to see this league by VCA. He has always believed that Vidarbha has great cricket talent and this league will give young players a chance to shine on the big stage. He is waiting to see which player takes advantage of the opportunity found in this league.
Umesh Yadav’s figures in international cricket
Talking about Umesh Yadav, he has played 57 Tests, 75 ODIs and 9 T20I matches for India. He has taken a total of 288 wickets, including all three formats. He performed brilliantly for India, especially in Test cricket. He has been an important part of the Indian Test team. He played the last Test match for India in 2023, since then he did not get a chance. Umesh played 57 Test matches in his career so far where he took a total of 170 wickets.
