NTPC: Public sector power company NTPC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gridco Limited and CRUT (Capital Region Urban Transport) for Green Hydrogen Transportation Plan in Odisha. This is a tripartite agreement. Government company NTPC gave this information in a statement on Monday. The main objective of this agreement is to advance green energy technology in the state, especially the green hydrogen transportation plan.
The company will also set up a green hydrogen fuel station in Bhubaneswar.
According to the MoU, NTPC will run short and long distance hydrogen buses and will also set up a green hydrogen fuel station in the capital Bhubaneswar. This will reduce the dependence on diesel-powered buses in the state and will also help in their easy removal one by one. This step will reduce carbon emissions in the state. Let us tell you that NTPC has been running the Green Hydrogen Blending Project in Surat, Gujarat for the last two years.
Government company is working in many parts of the country
Along with this, NTPC has also taken similar initiatives in the transport sector in Kandla of Gujarat, Greater Noida of UP and Leh. This government power generation company is also developing a green hydrogen center in Visakhapatnam. The company aims to install 60,000 MW of renewable energy capacity by 2032.
Shares of the company are trading with slight gains on Tuesday
NTPC shares were trading at Rs 334.75, up Rs 1.10 (0.33 per cent) at 12.42 pm on Tuesday. On Monday, the company’s shares had closed at Rs 333.65 and today opened with a slight rise at Rs 335.50. Till the time of writing today, the company’s shares had reached intraday low of Rs 331.80 to intraday high of Rs 336.85. The 52 week high of the company’s shares is Rs 448.30.
