The story of the film was written by Anil Pandey and Neeraj Yadav with Sanjay. The film was made on the life of Army General Major ‘Ian Kardozo’ in the Gorkha Regiment. These major have been in the fifth Gorkha rifles. His life was no less than an example. But later the film was dropped.

Why the film stopped?

Film maker Anand L. Rai spoke about the film Gorkha. In an interview given to Bollywood Hungama, Anand L. Rai had told that the film has been closed with some technical problems and focal errors. Now this film is not being made. It was told that there was no talk about some experiences of Major General’s life and there was disagreement to show it. Due to which the film has been stopped.

There was a stir on the poster itself

Akshay Kumar released the poster of the film and in the poster, actor was seen with Khukhri, a weapon considered to be the identity of the Gorkha Regiment. But in this poster, Akshay Kumar did not hold Khukri properly. With which an army officer also sent him his response in the comment. In which the officer told him a lot about it. However, later this project was closed. Now Akshay Kumar is seen in his film ‘Kesari: Chepter-2’ in theaters.
