KC Venugopal, Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament, has objected to the huge increase in air fare in festivals and high demand time. He says that the huge increase in air fares is not acceptable in any way. According to the language news, Venugopal also urged the aviation regulator DGCA to control such increase in flight ticket rates. On Thursday, after visiting the Delhi Airport with members of the Parliamentary Committee, Venugopal also expressed concern over the increase in the user development fee (UDF) to be taken at the airport.
PAC will investigate the issue intensively
According to the news, the PAC chairman said that the Parliamentary Committee will conduct a thorough investigation into the issue. Apart from the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), members of the committee also visited the Kherki Daula Toll Plaza and Dwarka Expressway in the national capital and interacted with the officials concerned. Venugopal said after a visit to the airport that excessive increase in air fares during festivals and high demand is not correct. The DGCA must control it. There are provisions to control excessive increase in fare.
Especially discussed on UDF
There is concern about the huge increase in flight fares during festivals and busy time.
