Ahmedabad -based Torrent Group IPL franchise is set to gain a 67 percent stake in the Gujarat Titans. According to ESPNcricinfo report, Torrent Group will buy 2/3 stake from the original owners CVC Capital Partners (ERELIA Company Private Limited) and in the beginning of IPL 2025, a new owner may be included, which is subject to paperwork and approval of IPL Governing Council. .

Titans were one of the two franchises launched before the 2022 season of the IPL. CVC Capital Partners bought franchisees for a closed bid auction for Rs 5,625 crore. The first team Titans in Ahmedabad won the IPL in their first season in the tournament in 2022, when it was led by Hardik Pandya.
