Starlink is set to launch its satellite broadband service in India. Soon Alan Musk’s company may get regulatory approval from the government. Not only this, Starlinks in India have partnered with Jio and Airtel to sell their equipment. Apart from India, Starlink is preparing to spread its foot in many other countries. Currently, Starlink broadband services have reached 125 countries in the world and have more than 7 million users.

These Chinese companies can spoil sports

Starlink may get a tough competition from China’s satellite broadband companies Eultsat and Spacesail in the coming time. These Chinese companies are currently ready to enter Brazil, Malaysia and Kazakhstan. Alan Musk’s company Starlink’s target is to add at least 1 million new users every year. After the service starts in India, this target of the company can get a big boost. However, it is feared that Chinese companies may produce a new hurdle for Starlink.

In India too, Starlinks can challenge Airtel and Jio as well as Amazon Cupier and BSNL’s satellite service for satellite broadband service. Telecom regulator may soon allocate spectrum for satellite services. For this, the work of taking feedback from stakeholders and experts is almost complete.

Wait from 2022

Starlink provides broadband service through its Spacex satellite. High speed internet service can be accessed through the satellite present in the Earth’s lower orbit. Since 2022, Starlink has been waiting to launch its service in India. Starlink will launch its service in India with regulatory approval and spectrum allocation by the Government of India. After partnership with Airtel and Jio, Starlink is expected to get regulatory approval in India soon.
