Punjab Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians have managed to arrive in the IPL 2025 playoffs. After the league stage, Punjab and Bengaluru confirmed the top-2, while Gujarat and Mumbai ended the league stage in third and fourth positions. Sunrisers Hyderabad created history in 2016
After the playoffs are confirmed, the teams of Gujarat and Mumbai have come into tension. Actually, the statistics show that the team playing eliminator in the IPL has won only once, that too in the year 2016. No team could win the title by playing the eliminator before and after that. In 2016, this history was composed by Sunrisers Hyderabad.
The team of Gujarat Lions, RCB, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders reached that season playoffs. Hyderabad defeated Kolkata in the eliminator. After that, Gujarat Lions and Hyderabad were face to face in qualifier-2. There too SRH managed to win the match and reached the final. In the final, SRH, captained by David Warner, faced RCB. There the Hyderabad team became the champion by winning by 8 runs. Now this year, Gujarat or Mumbai eliminator will be able to become champions by playing or not, it will tell the time to come.
