New Delhi: Former Indian Ambassador Veena Sikri said on Tuesday amid the increasing tension between India and Pakistan after Operation Sindoor that Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif did not really have an officer and power to make any decision. He insisted that the reins of power are now with the military leadership of Pakistan, especially with its army chief and real power center General Aseem Munir.

Sikri commented on Shahbaz Sharif’s recent statement during his visit to Tehran. He said that “Sadly, the Prime Minister of Pakistan has no right. The real rights and power are now in the hands of the new field marshal Aseem Munir.

Veena Sikri said this

Veena Sikri’s comment has come under the backdrop of Operation Sindoor, in which the Indian Army destroyed several terrorist camps across the border. Subsequently, the Pakistani Army, taking a controversial step, announced a plan to repair these camps. The army announced that the families of the terrorists killed during the operation would be given a compensation of Rs 1 crore. He further stated that financial assistance is allegedly being made through the recent funding received from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Now talk on PoK: Sikri

Sikri further said that the Government of Pakistan is “living in a fictional world” and called upon Islamabad to understand new regional realities. He said, now the only discussion should be about how Pakistan will return its occupied Kashmir (PoK) to India.

Let me tell you that during a speech in Bhuj on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated India’s long -standing policy that “terrorism and conversations cannot run together.” PM Modi said that “terrorism and business cannot run together,” it is clear that no dialogue with Pakistan is possible until Pakistan decishes its support for cross -border terrorism.
