Several names in verification
Regarding this delay, Aditi Tatkare has clearly stated that the amount of some beneficiaries has been stopped because the investigation process of their application was going on. He said that between January and February, about 2,289 such government employees had joined the scheme, which were not eligible for it. All these ineligible names have now been removed from the beneficiary list.
More than 2 lakh applications check
Tatkare said that this investigation process is normal and it is the effort of the government that only the right and needy women should benefit. He informed that more than two lakh applications associated with the service sector area have been examined.
What is the purpose of the scheme?
The ‘Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana’ was launched in August 2024. Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 1,500 is given to eligible women between 21 and 65 years of age of Maharashtra. This amount is transferred directly to the Aadhaar -linked bank account. However, government employees do not come under the purview of this scheme.

This scheme is being considered as a major initiative of the state government, which also played an important role in the assembly elections.
