Lahaul Spiti: A terrible video has surfaced in Lahaul Spiti in Himachal Pradesh. On Saturday, a large iceberg fell in the Spiti Valley of Lahaul Spiti district, which fell in front of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) camp. A video of this incident has also surfaced, in which avalanche can be seen from above the mountain.
Avalanche occurred near ITBP Camp
Actually, the whole incident is from Gu village of Spiti Valley. There is a permanent camp of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). It was here that sudden avalanche started from above the mountain. Seeing the snowy rocks falling, people came into panic and were forced to run around. However, it was a matter of relief that the iceberg stopped just 200 meters before the ITBP camp. Please tell that in the ITBP camp at Gu, the soldiers were working to remove snow from the road. Meanwhile, snow started falling from the mountains. The speed of Evelych was very fast, causing haze in the entire area.
Many incidents of avalanche happened in the past
On Saturday, an iceberg fell into Jobrang in Lahaul Valley. This snowfall has fallen into the Chandra Bhaga River, causing the wave of this river to stop and become a big lake. Jovrang bridge has also been submerged in the river due to the lake. On Sunday, a small avalanche came to the mouth of the Rohtang tunnel, but it has not caused any damage. In the last three days, dozens of events have come in the Lahaul Spiti Valley. Such incidents are bound to occur due to falling 4 to 5 feet of fresh snow. However, there is no news of any major damage from any incident.
54 laborers stranded in Mana
A similar avalanche occurred at the Border Roads Organization (BRO) camp in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. Here 54 laborers were trapped in the snow. These laborers were taken out after hard work. Eight out of 54 laborers died due to getting stuck in snow. At the same time, 46 people were evacuated from it. Rescue operations were carried out for about 60 hours. (Input- Jiten)
