The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced the Central Contract for the 2024-25 season on 21 April. This time a total of 34 players have got place in the Central Contract. Two of these 34 players were coming out about which many things were coming out. They are two players Shreyas Iyer and Ishaan Kishan. The names of these two players have again been added to the contract. Shreyas Iyer is included in Grade B, while Ishaan Kishan’s name is included in Grade C.

Shreyas Iyer and Ishaan Kishan were dropped from the central contract by the board last year. The reason behind this was that both the players did not give much importance to domestic cricket. Both Shreyas Iyer and Ishaan Kishan returned to domestic cricket after being out of the contract. Iyer performed brilliantly in the domestic tournament, due to which he also got a chance to play in the Champions Trophy. In that tournament, he played an important role in Team India’s victory.

Talking about Shreyas Iyer’s performance in the Champions Trophy, he performed brilliantly with the bat there. He scored 243 runs in the tournament and was the highest run-scorer for India. Shreyas Iyer scored 62 runs from 48 balls in the Champions Trophy final match against New Zealand and played a big role in India’s victory in the final. Iyer is currently captaining Punjab Kings in IPL 2025. Iyer has done well with the bat in the ongoing season of IPL.
Ishaan Kishan has scored centuries in IPL 2025
Talking about Ishaan Kishan, he has been running out of Team India for a long time. However, he also performed well in domestic cricket, but even then he has not been able to return to the national team. Kishan is currently part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad team in IPL 2025. This season he scored a century in the first match playing for Hyderabad. There he scored an unbeaten 106 runs in 47 balls. Since then, he has not been able to play a single big innings. Although now he has returned to the central contract, it is believed that he can return to India’s T20 team.
