Telecom companies going to increase mobile tariffs once again from December, Bharti Airtel and Jio preparation – Telecom Companies Set to Increase Mobile Tarifs Again from Deecember Discover Bharti Airtel and Jio Plans

Telecom companies can run scissors on mobile users’ pockets once again by December. Bharti Airtel and Jio are working on a plan to increase the tariff by 10-12% by the end of the year. The special thing is that this time the increase will not be limited to the base plan, but also for mid and high end users. Telecom companies are trying to increase income without losing more customers. In May, there has been an increase in the number of customers of major telecom companies of the country like Airtel, Jio and Vodafone Idea.

During this period, for the first time 29 months, the highest number of 74 lakh active users have increased. Now their number has reached 1.08 crores. Earlier, between July and November, 2.1 crore customers had decreased. Since then, their number has increased continuously.

The happiness of mobile companies has doubled in this situation. Despite the previous increase, the growth of customers means that now they are ready for an expensive plan. Companies may announce a 10 to 12% increase in mobile tariffs by December of the year. However, this increase will be more heavy on the pockets of mid and high end users. Telecom companies had earlier raised the base tariff 11-23% in July 2024.

In May, while Jio added 55 lakh active mobile users, Airtel’s 1.3 million active users increased. Jio’s share on the telecom market has increased to 53%, while Airtel has won 36%. Despite being the second largest smartphone market in the world, mobile tariffs are the cheapest in India. Jio adopted a very low price strategy to woo customers. Instead of taking the risk of raising prices by increasing prices, other players of the telecom market had to adopt the same strategy.

In addition, telecom companies can also apply tier pricing. That is, the data plan being introduced to the user can be cut. They can force them to spend more by offering less data at the same price. According to market experts, this time companies can bring data speed, timebase plan and data base plan. The advantage of this will be that customers will be able to choose the plan according to their needs.
