Tata Power said that this growth in net profit was caused by core business segments such as generation, transmission, distribution and renewable energy. The company’s consolidated revenue rose by 3 per cent to Rs 15793 crore as compared to Rs 15294 crore in the same period last year. The company credited its strong financial performance to coordinate its healthy balance sheet, operational excellence and business groups. Its Ebitda increased by 7 percent to Rs 3,481 crore from Rs 3,250 crore.

Tata Power’s CEO and MD Praveer Sinha said that the company has consistently recorded PAT growth in the last 21 quarters and all businesses are contributing to this growth. He further said, “We have emerged as a leader in clean energy with the development of manufacturing, EPC and renewable projects as well as in the entire value chain of retail supply through group captive. In the form, we provide complete energy services for our portfolio of generation, transmission and distribution solution to provide inexpensive electricity to all. “
