Sunita and Wilmore visited the space station in June last year.
American astronaut Sunita Williams and Buch Wilmore will soon return by Space Station. NASA said on Tuesday that he would be brought back in between March. Both astronauts have been stranded in the space station for the last 8 months.
Earlier, the March end or April deadline was fixed for the return of astronauts. They will be brought back from SpaceX capsules.
Sunita Williams arrived on ISS with Buch Wilmore on 5 June last year. He was to return after a week. The two went to the Test of the new Starlineer capsule of Boeing, but both of them stopped at ISS after a malfunction. Since then, both are stranded there.
Earlier, NASA had informed Sunita and Buch Wilmore to bring back from the dragon spacecraft of Ilon Musk’s company SpaceX in February 2025. However, this could not happen.

After reaching the space station on 6 June, Buch Wilmore and Sunita Williams with the crew.
Ilon Musk will bring back Sunita Williams stuck in space The new US President Donald Trump has tasked the Space X’s CEO Ilon Musk to bring back Sunita Williams and his colleague Buch Wilmore, who was stuck in space. Both scientists have been stuck in space since June last year.
Trump wrote on social media last month- I have asked Musk to bring back those two ‘brave astronauts’. These have been left in space by the Biden administration. They have been waiting for several months at the space station. Musk will soon be engaged in this work. Hopefully everyone will be safe.
Musk said in response to this that we will do the same. It is terrible that the Biden administration has left him there for so long.

However, NASA had included Musk’s SpaceX several months ago to bring back the two astronauts under his crew.
Why was Sunita and Wilmore sent to the space station? Sunita and Bush went to Wilmore Boeing and NASA’s joint ‘Crew Flight Test Mission’. It was Sunita, a pilot of spacecraft. Bush Wilmore, who accompanied him, was the commander of this mission. Both were to come back to Earth after staying at the International Space Station (ISS) for 8 days.
At the time of launch, Boeing Defense, Space and Security President and CEO Ted Colbert described it as a magnificent beginning of the new era of Space Research. The main objective of this mission was to prove the ability to bring back the astronauts of the spacecraft to the space station.
Astronauts also had to do research and several experiments in 8 days at the space station. Sunita and Wilmore are the first Astronauts sent to Space Travel via Atlas-V rocket. During this mission, he was also manually flying the spacecraft. Many types of objectives related to flight tests were also to be completed.
How Sunita and Wilmore got stuck in space for so long? It had many problems since the launch of Starlineer Spacecraft. Due to these, the launch had failed several times before June 5. Even after the launch, there was news of problems in the spacecraft.
NASA reported that there is a small helium leak in the thruster of the service module of the spacecraft. A spacecraft consists of several thresters. With their help, spacecraft changes its way and speed. At the same time, there is pressure on the rocket due to helium gas. His structure remains strong, which helps the rocket to its flight.
After the launch, 5 heliums leaked in Spacecraft capsules in 25 days. 5 thrusters had stopped working. In addition, a propalent valve could not be completely discontinued. The crew present in the space and the managers of the mission sitting in Houston, USA could not fix it either.
