Summer vacation of schools 2025: Summer holidays are currently going on all over India. In view of the scorching heat, states like Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar and Tamil Nadu have announced holidays in schools. Delhi: Summer holidays from 11 May to 30 June, school will open on 1 July 2025.
Uttar Pradesh: The holidays from May 20 to June 15, school will open again on 30 June.
Rajasthan: Holidays from 1 May to 15 June, school will start from June 16.
Bihar: Holidays from June 2 to June 21, school will open from 23 June.
Madhya Pradesh: Summer holidays from May 1 to June 15, school will open from 16 June.
Tamil Nadu: Schools from class 1 to 12 are closed from April 30 to June 1, and will resume from 2 June 2025.
CBSE School: Can open from June 13.
College: It is expected to start from June 19.
Summer and weather effects
The education department has made it clear that if the heat increases more then the holidays can be increased. Especially in states like Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, this is more likely. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has informed that the monsoon may start early in Kerala from May 27 this year, which may change the school schedule in South India.
