The Planning Committee of Neith Port Talbot Council has approved the proposal of Tata Steel UK to provide electric arch furnace steelmaking in Port Talbot. This is an investment of 125 crore pounds in which 50.0 crore pounds will be supported from the UK government. This investment will save 5 thousand jobs from Tata Steel UK and the emission of Corbon Dioxide on the site will also be reduced by 90 percent.
