Looking at the weekly basis, the S&P 500 index was up 1.74%, while Nasdaq rose 1.65% and Dow 2.15%.

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold equity worth Rs 2,758.49 crore on January 24, on the other hand, domestic institutional investors bought equity worth Rs 2,402.31 crore on the same day.
