Share market today: Both the major index of the Indian stock market closed in a red mark on 5 February today. The attitude of investors was cautious before the growing trade war between the US-China and the RBI Monetary Policy Committee meeting. Due to this, selling was seen in largecap shares. However, the rise in small and medium shares continued even today. BSE’s midcap index rose 0.69 per cent and the Smallcap index by 1.42 per cent. Due to this, investors were in profit of about Rs 1.62 lakh crore today. During today’s business, the most faster was seen in metal, oil and gas and pharma stocks. On the other hand, there was an atmosphere of selling in realty, FMCG and consumer durables shares.

The total market capitalization of listed companies in BSE increased to Rs 427.12 lakh crore on February 5, which was Rs 425.50 lakh crore on its previous trading day i.e. Tuesday, February 4. In this way, the market cap of listed companies in BSE has increased by about Rs 1.62 lakh crore today. Or in other words, the assets of investors have increased by about Rs 1.62 lakh crore.
