Share market today: The stock market continued to devastate on 14 February today on Valentine’s Day. The Sensex and Nifty closed down for the 8th consecutive day. Due to this, the assets of investors today reduced by about Rs 7 lakh crore in one stroke. The most damage occurred in smallcap and midcap stocks. BSE’s midcap index fell 2.5 per cent and Smallcap Index fell by 3.54 per cent. Even all the 13 sectoral index of the Nifty remained in the red mark. Power, Consumer Durables, Pharma, Utility and Capital Goods Index closed over 2 per cent.
Market experts say that the statement of American President Donald Trump imposing recipes on all countries of the world including India spoiled the mood of the stock market today. Apart from this, selling of foreign investors and weak quarterly results of companies also weakened the morale of investors.
At the end of the trading, the BSE Sensex closed at 75,939.21 points with a drop of 199.76 points or 0.26 per cent. At the same time, the NSE’s 50 -share index, Nifty fell at 22,929.25, 102.15 points or 0.44 per cent.
₹ 7.19 lakh crore of investors drowned
The total market capitalization of listed companies in BSE came down to Rs 400.07 lakh crore on February 14, which was Rs 407.26 lakh crore on its previous trading day i.e. Thursday, February 13. In this way, the market cap of listed companies in BSE has reduced by about Rs 7.19 lakh crore today. Or in other words, the assets of investors have fallen by about Rs 7.19 lakh crore.

9 out of 30 shares of BSE Sensex closed with an increase in green mark today. Nestle India shares were the highest in this shares of 0.9 per cent. After this, shares of ICICI Bank, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and HCL Tech closed with a gain of 0.49 per cent to 0.8 per cent.

At the same time, the remaining 21 shares of the Sensex closed down today. In this too, the share of Adani Ports was a top losis with a decline of 4.2 per cent. At the same time, shares of Ultratech Cement, Sun Pharma, IndusInd Bank and NTPC were seen from 2.18 percent to 2.47%.

3,320 shares declined
The number of shares shut down on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) today was high. A total of 4,083 shares on the exchange were seen today. Out of this, 681 shares closed up rapidly. At the same time, 3,320 shares saw a decline. While 82 shares were closed flat without any fluctuations. Apart from this, 47 shares today touched their new 52-whee high during trading. At the same time, 641 shares touched their 52-week new level.
