Vehicles stuck at both ends of Atal Tunnel
Tourists continue to reach Manali and Lahaul Spiti in Himachal Pradesh to celebrate Christmas and New Year. A large number of tourists have stayed here but at the same time problems for the administration have also started increasing. The temperature around Atal Tunnel is in minus and in some areas there is no sunlight on the road due to which the ice becomes like glass due to which the vehicles slip. Due to snowfall, there was a huge traffic jam on both ends of Atal Talan in which hundreds of vehicles got stuck. The police conducted the rescue operation throughout the night. At many places, snow was removed from the roads and stuck vehicles were pulled out.

On hearing the news of snowfall, tourists headed towards Manali on the evening of 23rd December but due to snow on the roads, roads were blocked at some places and vehicles started slipping at some places. The result was that more than a thousand tourists got trapped in snow from the South Portal to the North Portal of Atal Tunnel. The police became active and a rescue operation was conducted to free the vehicles. All the trains are being sent towards Manali one by one. The problem with this is that many drivers in the plains are not able to drive amid snowfall, due to which the vehicles are slipping.

As soon as the snowfall started this evening, the administration wanted the tourists who wanted to go towards Manali to take out their vehicles before the heavy snowfall. But tourists from outside states face difficulty in driving on snow, due to which their vehicles are slipping and getting stuck. Due to this, there has been a long traffic jam near the tunnel. It is being told that about 1000 vehicles got stuck here. Vehicles are slipping at many places from the tunnel to Solang Nala towards Manali. With great difficulty a path was made for the vehicles. The rescue continued throughout the night after which the tourist vehicles stuck in the snowfall could be rescued.
Kangana Ranaut enjoyed the snowfall
However, snowfall has also affected the faces of many people. There has been snowfall from Jammu and Kashmir to Himachal since Saturday evening. Although it is early snowfall, farmers are hopeful that this time good snowfall will be beneficial for their crops. BJP MP and actress Kangana Ranaut thoroughly enjoyed the snowfall in Kullu. Kangana is MP from Mandi. As soon as he reached Kullu, the weather became pleasant and the faces of the MPs also lit up. In Sonamarg, the mountain peaks and valleys are covered with snow. Chillai Kalan is about to begin in Jammu and Kashmir, after which there will be severe cold for 40 days. Due to this snowfall the cold has increased in the plains also.
