Vicky Kaushal’s film ‘Chhava’ has now been tax free in Goa after Madhya Pradesh. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced this through a post on X on Wednesday evening on the occasion of the 395th birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Earlier, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also tax free the film based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in his state. The film was already earning in a great way, now the film’s earnings will be charged. Seeing the earnings so far, it is evident that this film directed by Laxman Utekar will prove to be a superhit.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant declared ‘Chhava’ as tax free
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant wrote on X, ‘I am happy to announce that Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s life and sacrifice will be tax free in Goa.’ He insisted that the film reflects the valor and courage of Sambhaji Maharaj, who fought against the Mughals and Portuguese for ‘Dev, Desh and Dharma’.
Tax free was first done in Maharashtra
Earlier, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also welcomed the appeal to tax free the film ‘Chhava’. He praised the historical presentation of the film and said that he had received a good response from the public about the film. CM Fadnavis said, ‘I am happy that a very good film has been made on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Although I have not seen it yet, but the response I received shows that history has not been distorted in this film. Along with this, Fadnavis also told that Maharashtra had already lifted entertainment tax in 2017 and now he will see how the film can be transported to more and more people.
The film’s strong earnings
Vicky Kaushal’s film ‘Chhava’ has crossed the 100 crore mark at the box office on the third day of its release. Now it will soon join the club of Rs 200 crore. The film has so far collected Rs 197.75 crore from the box office. The film is directed by Laxman Utekar. ‘Chhava’ stars Vicky Kaushal Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in the lead role. Apart from this, Rashmika Mandana has played Jesubai Bhosle, Akshaye Khanna, Aurangzeb, Diana Penty Zeenat-un-Nisa Begum, Divya Dutta, Soyarabai, Vineet Kumar Singh has played Kavi Kalash and Ashutosh Rana played Hambirrao Mohit.
