The Indian team started the three -match ODI series against England in a brilliant manner and won the first match played at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur by 4 wickets. Gill hit a total of 14 fours during the innings of 87 runs, while with this he has now become the third player in terms of scoring the most runs in the first 48 matches of his career in ODI format. Gill has done the work of leaving Pakistani player Imam ul Haq behind in this case. Gill now has a total of 2415 runs in 48 ODIs.

Gill has so far scored 2415 runs in 48 ODIs at an average of 58.90, while Virat Kohli has a batting average of 58.18 in ODIs. Gill is currently in the first place in this list. Gill’s average against England was 58.20 before the beginning of the first ODI, in which he has now improved further.
