Puri: The administration (SJTA) of the famous Shri Jagannath Temple of Odisha has implemented new rules for its employees. Their aim is to improve the functioning of the temple and maintain traditional values. Chief Administrator Arvind Padhi recently announced these rules and said that this step has been taken to ensure the sanctity and smooth functioning of the temple.
Employees were asked to give information about their assets
According to the new rules, all employees will have to report their assets by January 31, 2025. Those who do not follow this rule, their salary increases, promotions and other rewards will be stopped. Some main things are included in this scheme. Consuming paan, gutkha or any intoxicant during work is completely prohibited. There will be a review of senior officers every three months so that their work can be taken stock.
That’s why the temple administration took the decision
To maintain the temple culture, all employees have to wear traditional clothes every Friday. Only employees wearing special uniforms are exempted from this. The use of mobile phones has been stopped during work in the temple to avoid distraction and maintain discipline.
Chief Administrator Arvind Padhi said that these rules are to make the employees more responsible and disciplined. With this, the sacred traditions of the temple will be maintained and devotees will get better services. With the new rules, the temple administration is ensuring that the temple employees work with the traditions and discipline of the temple.
