Fast bowler Shivam Mavi
Shivam mavi: Young fast bowler Shivam Mavi did not find any buyer in the IPL 2025 auction. While last season he was part of the Lucknow Super Giants, he could not play in a single match with the injury. Fitness has been a major problem in Mavi’s small career. Now he has returned to domestic cricket by recovering from injury and has shown a strong game for Uttar Pradesh. Mavi still believes that if a player gets injured during IPL 2025, he can get a chance. Shivam Mavi has a special conversation with India TV and has talked about his career.
Fitness is a big problem
Shivam Mavi said that I think the number (318 number) in the auction was on. It becomes a bit difficult to be selected there. I have played for Team India, so I am a capped player. For this reason, its base prize could have been kept at least 75 lakh rupees. This was going on in my mind because as a franchise you are always looking for local Indian players. But if you have already found selected players, then it can be difficult.
Shivam Mavi still expected to play in IPL 2025
But I did not think that I would not be chosen at all. I was injured. After this, he was injured again. I spoke to some franchises before the auction. Fitness was a matter of concern for him. He told me to keep working hard. Now if someone is injured, I am fully prepared to come back. I was hurt when there was no pick in the auction. Matches were happening then. For this reason, I thought that whatever opportunity I would get ahead. I will give good performance in it and give the best. I will try to do better for my team.
I focus on the result: Shivam Mavi
Shivam Mavi said that I focus more on the results. Let me pay attention to those things that are in me. Negative thoughts come. If the matches are going on to get out of it, then I see them. I spend time with friends. I have been in Bengaluru most of the time during rehabilitation. So I have kept myself busy and did not let the negative idea come to mind.
