Share Market Holiday 2025: The stock market has released its holiday calendar for the year 2025. Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) have announced the calendar of trading holidays for 2025. This year there will be a total of 14 days of holidays in the market.

Stock market holiday list in the year 2025

January-February-March 2025

The first holiday of the stock market will be on 26 February 2025 on the occasion of Mahashivratri. Stock markets will remain closed for two days in March. The stock market will remain closed due to Holi on March 14 and Eid-ul-Fitr (Ramadan Eid) on March 31. The complete holiday list is given on the official websites of BSE and NSE.

The market will remain closed for three days in April 2025

10 April: Shri Mahavir Jayanti

14 April: Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti

April 18: Good Friday

May and August

There will be a holiday in May due to Maharashtra Day on 1 May. In August, the market will remain closed on Independence Day on 15th August and Ganesh Chaturthi on 27th August.

Markets will remain closed for maximum three days in October

2 October: Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti and Dussehra

21st October: Diwali Lakshmi Puja

22 October: Diwali Balipratipada

Muhurta Trading: Muhurta trading will take place on the day of Diwali Lakshmi Puja (21st October). Its timing will be announced later.

These festivals will fall on weekends

In the new year 2025, some festivals are going to fall on weekends. There will be no separate market closure for these days.

26 January: Republic Day (Sunday)

6 April: Shri Ram Navami (Sunday)

6 July: Muharram (Sunday)

June 7: Bakrid (Saturday)
