Trump was shot by an attacker during a rally in July last year, which missed his ear. After this Trump bowed down on the stage.
US President Donald Trump has selected Shawn Curran as the director of the Secret Service. Trump gave this information on Wednesday. Shawn Curran was leading the security team during the deadly attack on Trump in Pennsylvania last year.
Trump posted on his social media and wrote-
Shawn is a great patriot. He has protected my family these past few years. Shawn risked his life to save my life from an assassin’s bullet in Pennsylvania. He had shown fearlessness and courage.
The US President expressed confidence that Sean Curran will make the Secret Service stronger than before.
After the attack, Secret Service agents surrounded Trump.
Karan has worked with Barack Obama
Shaun Curran is a resident of New York. He began his career as a special agent in the Newark Field Office of the Secret Service. According to Jonathan Vaccrow, a former agent who worked with him, Karan has also worked with President Barack Obama in the Special Department. He has worked in the security department of high profile people.
According to the New York Times, it is surprising to make Shawn Curran the director of the Secret Service. Karan has not worked in any headquarters of the Secret Service. He is being appointed as a director directly from an agent. There is no need for Shonet’s approval for his appointment.
Karan does not even have the experience of working on a post like director.
Shaun Curran has been recognized as a strong agent.
Secret Service Director had to resign after the attack
After the fatal attack on Donald Trump, the then Director of the Secret Service, Kimberly Cheatle, had to resign after just 10 days. He was being accused of not fulfilling his responsibilities properly. Because of this, Cheetal had to appear before the parliamentary committee.
Cheatle told the committee, ‘There has been a lapse in Trump’s security. The agency did not do its work properly. I take full responsibility for this.
Cheetal had refused to give information to the parliamentary committee.
The warehouse from which Trump’s attacker fired shots was not included in the security zone by the Secret Service.
This warehouse was just 400 feet away from Trump’s stage. When Cheatle was asked why Secret Service agents were not stationed there, he did not say anything.
