School Holidays: It is extremely cold in North India. There is relief news for the students due to cold and fog. The District Magistrate (DM) in Meerut has announced holiday on December 30 and 31 in all board schools from classes 1 to 8. All private, government and aided schools in the district will remain closed for two days. DM of Muzaffarnagar has also announced holiday in schools from classes 1 to 8 on Monday. Apart from this, most of the states of the country have announced winter holidays in schools.
Long holidays in Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir
Dehradun district administration has declared holiday till January 4, 2025 in all government, non-government, private schools and Anganwadi centers up to class 12. At the same time, in view of change in weather, snowfall and rain in Jammu and Kashmir, schools will remain closed till February 2025.
Schools up to class 5 will remain closed from 10 December 2024 to 28 February 2025.
Schools for classes 6 to 12 will remain closed from 16 December 2024 to 28 February 2025.
Haryana and Delhi
There will be winter holidays in all government and private schools from January 1 to 15.
Uttar Pradesh: Primary schools will remain closed from 31 December to 14 January. Will open at normal time on January 15. Students will be given homework for 15 days.
Madhya Pradesh: There will be holidays from 31 December 2024 to 4 January 2025. Schools will start from January 6.
Rajasthan: There will be holidays in all government and private schools till January 5. Strict action will be taken against private schools for not following the order.
Jharkhand: Government schools will remain closed till January 5, 2025. Schools will start from January 6.
Kendriya Vidyalayas of Raipur Division: Will remain closed from 24 December 2024 to 2 January 2025.
These states changed the timing of schools
School timings have been changed in Jashpur, Manendragarh, Chirmiri and Balrampur of Chhattisgarh. Many states have taken this step to provide relief to students and parents due to winter.
Two shift schools:
First shift: From 9 am to 12:30 pm.
Second shift: From 12:45 pm to 4:15 pm.
One shift schools: From 10:30 am to 3:30 pm.
