India Open 2025 is being organized. India’s doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty’s campaign in the tournament ended at the India Open Super 750 in Delhi on Saturday after they suffered a straight games defeat against Malaysia’s Goh Sze Fei and Noor Izzuddin in the semi-finals. . The Indian pair had to exit the tournament after losing the match 18-21, 14-21 in just 37 minutes.
How was the match?
Satwik and Chirag started the match well and took the lead in the first game. But the Malaysian pair then made a brilliant comeback and won five out of the next six points to take a one-point lead at the break. However, after the break the Indian pair briefly returned to the game and took the score to 15-12. Despite this, the Malaysian pair scored the next seven points to win the first game 21–18.
In the second game, the Malaysian team took a strong lead of 5-0. With brilliant efforts from Satwik, the Indian pair reduced the gap and brought the score to 4-8. Then the Malaysian team maintained a lead of 11-10 till the break. The Indian pair made a strong effort and leveled the score at 13-13. But the Malaysian team, with its strong strategy and composure, won the match 21-14 and made it to the finals.
Satwik and Chirag performed brilliantly
This was Satwik and Chirag’s second consecutive semi-final this season, in which they lost, of course, but their strong performance brought them another success on the big stage. Now they will come out to play with the hope of performing even better in the next tournament.
