The Indian Foreign Minister shared a picture of a meeting with Xi Jinping on the social media site X on Tuesday morning.
Foreign Minister S Jaishankar met Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday. According to news agency ANI, Jaishankar told President Jinping about the progress in relations between India and China.
For the first time in the last 5 years, Jaishankar has reached China. Jaishankar has also posted a picture related to Jinping’s meeting on the social media platform X.
Jaishankar has written- I met President Xi Jinping with SCO’s foreign ministers in Beijing this morning. Greeted Xi Jinping on behalf of President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Modi.

Jaishankar met Chinese Foreign Minister Jaishankar has arrived in China to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Foreign Ministers’ meeting. Earlier, Jaishankar met Foreign Minister Wang Yi. In this meeting, he emphasized the need to have a stable and constructive relationship between the two countries.
Jaishankar said that the issues related to the border should be focused, contact should normalize and work on removing the obstacles in business. He expressed confidence that India-China relations can move in a positive direction on the basis of mutual respect and understanding.

Discussion on trade and tourism with Chinese Foreign Minister During the meeting in Beijing, External Affairs Minister Jaishankar also raised important issues from his Chinese counterpart Wang Ji on trade and tourism. He expressed concern over export control and business restrictions imposed by China. Jaishankar clearly said that China should avoid steps that can damage India’s manufacturing sector.
Along with this, he insisted on increasing the contact between the people of India and China. He explained the need to make the journey easier, resume direct flights and promote cultural exchange. They believe that this will increase mutual understanding and trust between the two countries.
SCO reiterated the stance on terrorism in meeting
External Affairs Minister S.K. Jaishankar reiterated India’s clear stand on terrorism. He said that the main objective of establishing the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is to compete with terrorism, separatism and extremism. To achieve this goal, all member countries should stay firmly on the policy of ‘zero tolerance’ (not tolerate).
With this, Jaishankar welcomed China’s decision to resume the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. The journey was closed for the last five years, and its resumption is being considered a positive step for trust and religious-cultural relations between the two countries.

Jaishankar described the current international situation as complex and said that open talks between big neighboring countries like India and China are very important. He told the Chinese Vice President that the resumption of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra has been highly appreciated in India.
