Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavarov said on Thursday that western countries are trying to clash India and China. Lavarov said this at a Culture without Borders Club program.
He said- Western countries are now calling the Asia-Pacific region as Indo-Pacific. By doing this, they are clearly showing their policy against China. With this, they are trying to hit our friends and neighboring countries India and China.
Lavarov said that western countries are trying to weaken the role of Asean in Asia. ASEAN is a group of 10 countries in South-East Asia, which promotes economic and security cooperation. These countries include Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam.
He said, “Western countries want to break the unity of Asean, who had been working well for all for decades. They want to increase conflict by including some ASEAN countries in different small groups.”
Lavrov also spoke of a common security arrangement for all countries in Eurasia. He said- so many civilizations live together in Eurasia, but there is no continent-level organization here. There are organizations such as African Union in Africa and Celac in Latin America, but there is nothing like this in Eurasia. There is a need to merge the interests of all major countries and civilizations here.
