Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has accused the top filmmakers and directors of Hindi cinema of being a ‘hypocrite’ and ‘cowardly’, while attacking them. Vivek Agnihotri says that the industry does not have the courage to confront prominent stars like Ranbir Kapoor. Agnihotri claimed that most of the people in the industry do evil to prominent actors behind closed doors, but no one dare to criticize them in public. Meanwhile, he also mentioned Ranbir Kapoor and his film ‘Animal’.

‘150 crores of rotten acting’

Talking to digital commentary, the director of ‘The Kashmir Files’ said, “No one in the industry has the courage to criticize Ranbir Kapoor, because he is very powerful. There is no more powerful, they have courage to do, do it.” Vivek Agnihotri challenged Bollywood Insiders to name a filmmaker or director who did not say negative things about a big star privately. He said- “Does they have the courage to say anything publicly? They are worth it. So two are worth Rs 150 crore of poor work, rotten acting.”

Star power dominates the industry

According to Vivek Agnihotri, the industry is so dependent on star power that he has compromised his creative standard, which is why he has taken himself away from Mainstream Bollywood. He said that he has no problem with real artists, but he has a lot of difficulty with actors who treat the star without achieving anything. He says- ‘My problem is with those who behave like a star despite being a star.’

‘Everyone says Ranbir is fantastic’

Meanwhile, Animal director Sandeep Reddy Wanga also recently talked about the film. He talked about the film’s criticism and Ranbir’s performance during a separate conversation with ‘Game Changers’. He said- ‘I am not jealous of Ranbir, but the point is that everyone says that Ranbir Kapoor is fantastic, but criticized the writer-director. I did not understand this difference. I think they want to work with Ranbir, it is clear that if they say something about Ranbir then it is easy to comment on me, because I am new to this place. ‘
