Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma will participate in Ranji Trophy after almost a decade. Rohit played his last Ranji Trophy match for Mumbai in 2015 against Uttar Pradesh. In this match played at Wankhede, Rohit Sharma scored a brilliant century and scored 113 runs in the first innings. This match ended in a draw but on the basis of first innings, Mumbai had collected 3 points.
Virat Kohli
India’s star batsman Virat Kohli participated in Ranji Trophy 12 years ago. Kohli played his last Ranji Trophy match for Delhi in 2012. At that time, the command of Delhi team was in the hands of strong opening batsman Virender Sehwag. This match was played between Delhi and Uttar Pradesh at the Nehru Stadium in Ghaziabad between 2 November and 5 November 2012, in which Virat Kohli scored 14 runs in the first innings and 43 runs in the second innings. Kohli was hunted by Bhuvneshwar Kumar both times in this match. The Uttar Pradesh team was successful in winning this match by 6 wickets.
Ravindra Jadeja
Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja last played for Saurashtra in the Ranji Trophy in January 2023. Saurashtra faced Tamil Nadu in that match. While captaining Saurashtra, Jadeja scored a total of 40 runs in both the innings. However, he did wonders in bowling and did a great feat of taking 7 wickets during the second innings of Tamil Nadu. Despite this brilliant bowling, Saurashtra team lost the match by 59 runs. However, that season Saurashtra team was successful in winning the Ranji Trophy by defeating Bengal in the final.
Rishabh Pant
Rishabh Pant has declared himself available for Delhi’s next Ranji Trophy match against Saurashtra starting January 23 in Rajkot. Pant last played a Ranji Trophy match in the 2017-2018 season. Pant captained Delhi against Vidarbha in the Ranji Trophy final played between 29 December 2017 and 1 January 2018 in Indore. Pant could score only 21 and 32 runs in that match. Under Pant’s captaincy, Delhi lost this match and Vidarbha won the Ranji Trophy title.
