Delhi team will play against Saurashtra on 23 January
Delhi cricket team has to play Saurashtra in Ranji Trophy from January 23 in Rajkot. After this, Delhi has to play a match against Railways on January 30. Delhi team is fourth in the table in Group D with 14 points from five matches. Rishabh Pant has declared himself available for the first match of Delhi and this was revealed by Ashok Sharma, Secretary of Delhi and District Cricket Association himself. Pant last participated for Delhi in the Ranji Trophy in the 2017-2018 season.
Rishabh Pant will join the team in Rajkot
Ashok Sharma told PTI that Rishabh Pant has confirmed his availability for the next Ranji match and will directly join the team in Rajkot. We want Virat Kohli to play also, but we have not got his reaction. Harshit Rana has been selected in the Indian T20 team, so he will not be available. Pant and Virat have been included among the possible players for Delhi, which is normal because the final decision has to be taken by these two players only. Shubhman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal are also expected to play for their respective state teams.
Pant has scored more than 4000 runs in first class cricket
Rishabh Pant has played a total of 68 first class matches so far, in which he has scored 4868 runs with his bat. During this period he has scored 11 centuries and 24 half-centuries. His highest score in first class cricket has been 308 runs. He has 1789 runs in his name in 67 List-A matches. He has scored two centuries and 11 half-centuries in List-A cricket.
