Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an intruder on the night of 16 January. This intruder entered the actor’s house with the intention of stealing and when caught, attacked the actor with a knife about 6 times and escaped. Somehow the actor reached the hospital. Saif reached the hospital in an auto-rickshaw around 2:30 pm. Here, during the surgery, the doctors removed a two and a half inch piece of knife from Saif’s spinal cord.
Police investigation and arrest
Mumbai Police has arrested the accused of attacking the actor, who has been sent on police remand till January 24. On Tuesday morning, the police also went to Saif’s residence to recreate the crime scene. The accused, identified as 30-year-old Bangladeshi national Shariful Islam Shahzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Faqir, was arrested in neighboring Thane on Sunday. The police sent him into custody for five days. According to the police, Shehzad entered the building with the intention of stealing and clashed with Saif’s maid. When Saif intervened, he attacked the actor and fled from the spot.
