Chief Minister Mahila Samman Yojana: Registration for Chief Minister Mahila Samman Yojana has started. The Delhi government had announced this scheme in the budget of 2024-25, under which women above 18 years of age will be given financial assistance of ₹ 1,000 every month. This scheme has been started with the aim of empowering women and strengthening their economic condition.
Recently, Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal said that if his party comes to power again in the upcoming assembly elections, the money given under this scheme will be increased to Rs 2,100 per month. Delhi Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in February 2025. This scheme is being considered an important step to woo women voters. To avail the benefits of Chief Minister Mahila Samman Yojana, women must be residents of Delhi and it is mandatory for them to have Voter ID card with Delhi address registered.
Eligibility for Chief Minister Mahila Samman Yojana
The age of the beneficiary should be 18 years or above as on 12th December 2024.
This scheme is mainly for women between 18 to 60 years.
Who is not eligible?
Not all women are eligible under this scheme. Women of these categories cannot apply for the scheme.
Present or former government employee.
Sitting or former MP, MLA or Councillor.
Women paying income tax.
Women who are already taking pension under other schemes of Delhi Government, like old age pension, widow pension, or disabled pension.
How to apply?
To avail the benefits of the scheme, women will have to show their voter ID card. All eligible women voters in Delhi will be given the benefit of the scheme. This scheme is an important step to bring economic stability in the lives of women and meet their needs.
