Raw Jute MSP News: Government can increase the MSP of raw jute. According to information received by CNBC-Awaaz quoting sources, a decision on this can be taken in the Cabinet, CCEA meeting today. Giving more information on this news, Laxman Rai of CNBC-Awaaz said that today there is a meeting of the Union Cabinet and Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA). In which an important decision can be taken on the farmers’ front. In the CCEA meeting, a decision can be taken to increase the MSP of (Raw Jute) for the 2025-26 season.
Currently the MSP of TDN 3 category (raw jute) is Rs 5335 per quintal. It is noteworthy that in 2024-25, the government had increased the minimum support price (MSP) of raw jute by Rs 285 per quintal. On the same lines, this time also the MSP of raw jute can be increased.
Laxman Rai further said that there is especially TDN 3 category which is used in industries. TDN 3 is used in making cotton clothes and bags. Let us tell you that in India, jute is cultivated in West Bengal, Bihar, Assam, Odisha and many states.
