On the occasion of Christmas, an AI generated video was released by the Aam Aadmi Party in which Kejriwal was made Santa, who is roaming around Delhi distributing Christmas gifts to the people. Since Aam Aadmi Party has promised to give Rs 2100 every month to women after the elections, in this video Kejriwal is seen giving a gift of Rs 2100 to women. But Kejriwal had to accept it. The Delhi government termed the scheme of giving Rs 2100 to women and free treatment to elderly people above 60 years of age as completely fake. The cards being made and forms being filled for this scheme have been termed as fraud.
In fact, Kejriwal and Chief Minister Atishi Singh were roaming in every street filling the forms and making cards of Mahila Samman Yojana and Sanjeevani Yojana, the same schemes were declared fake by the Delhi government. The Women and Child Welfare Department of the Aam Aadmi Party government issued a notice in all the newspapers of Delhi appealing to the people to beware of such frauds. People have been told that this is an attempt to collect public data, the government has not approved any such scheme, hence do not fall into such trap, do not fill any form, otherwise you may get into trouble. Your documents and personal information may be misused. The Health Department of Delhi Government also issued an advertisement and termed the claims of free treatment for senior citizens above sixty years of age as fake.
It was said in both the advertisements that the Delhi government has not started any such schemes, when such a decision is taken, any scheme is started, then a proper notification will come, people will be informed about it, but right now in the name of this scheme. The camps that are being organised, the personal data that is being collected is wrong, illegal and a fraud. As soon as the advertisements of Delhi government came out, BJP got an opportunity. BJP leaders attacked Kejriwal and his government. Vijendra Gupta said that now the Aam Aadmi Party government itself is saying that Kejriwal is fooling the people, collecting personal and financial data of the people, hence this matter should be investigated like any economic crime or It is a fraud.
Kejriwal came on the backfoot in this matter. If the public is trusting his promise and getting the registration done then what is wrong in it. The big thing is that CM Atishi herself is roaming around with Kejriwal to get the forms filled for the schemes and two departments of her own government are calling the registration under these schemes as fraud. Therefore, Atishi Singh gave clarification and said that this is all a trick of BJP, BJP has issued such advertisement by putting pressure on the officers. She will take action against the guilty officers.
Congress also came into the field. Congress leaders said that there is no difference between Kejriwal and BJP, both the parties are cheating the people of Delhi. Congress released a white paper against the Aam Aadmi Party government. Ajay Maken said that Kejriwal is a number one liar, he has no ideology, he can do anything for power. The case of Kejriwal’s promise of Rs 2100 is interesting. Kejriwal is making promises to women and elderly people and getting them filled in forms, but his own party’s government has termed these schemes as fake. How this happened is a matter of understanding. The bureaucracy of Delhi is under the Lieutenant Governor. Kejriwal bypassed everyone and announced the schemes. The Lieutenant Governor threw googly, got advertisements published in newspapers calling this scheme fake.
On the other hand, Kejriwal is fully confident that Ladli Behan Yojana made BJP win in Maharashtra elections, BJP benefited from Modi’s Ayushman Yojana, that is why he played this card in Delhi. This formula of Kejriwal had worked in Gujarat. Before the Gujarat elections, Kejriwal had promised to give two thousand rupees every month to women. Similarly, forms were filled by organizing camps. In Gujarat, Aam Aadmi Party got 14 percent votes.
Aam Aadmi Party claims that in Delhi, 22 lakh women have registered for Mahila Samman Yojana and about two lakh elderly people have registered for Sanjeevani Yojana. BJP became tensed regarding this matter. BJP started fearing the loss of women’s votes. A proof of this was found on Wednesday itself. BJP leader Pravesh Verma called the women at home and distributed Rs 1100 each. Pravesh Verma will contest against Arvind Kejriwal from New Delhi, that is why he adopted Kejriwal’s formula for women’s votes.
In the morning, a crowd of women gathered at Pravesh Verma’s bungalow at 20, Windsor Palace. She arrived with her voter card. India TV correspondent met many such women, who said that BJP workers had asked them to come here. The women who came out had a folder in their hands, which contained the Laadli Yojana card and an envelope. There were Rs 1100 in the envelope. These women said that Pravesh Verma has said that right now they are giving only Rs 1100, if BJP government comes to power in Delhi then Rs 2500 will come into the account every month under the Ladli Brahmin Yojana.
CM Atishi Singh alleged that crores of rupees are still lying in Pravesh Verma’s house and ED or CBI should raid his house and arrest him. Giving clarification, Pravesh Verma said that his father, former Chief Minister Sahib Singh Verma, had formed an NGO, on behalf of that NGO he was helping the poor and needy. At last, Arvind Kejriwal went to meet the women voters in his Tunav constituency and explained to them that people from the other party are giving Rs 1100, take the notes from them but do not vote.
Kejriwal was trapped in his own trap on the issue of Mahila Samman Yojana and Sanjeevani Yojana. He had no answer to his own government’s advertisement but Pravesh Verma gave Kejriwal an escape route by distributing envelopes worth Rs 1100 to the women. Kejriwal tried to lure voters by getting women and elderly people to fill the forms and Pravesh Verma also did the same thing. Did it more openly than Kejriwal. Kejriwal needs women’s votes and so does Parvesh Verma. But Kejriwal is an old player. He did not give the money directly, he promised the money and Pravesh Verma directly handed over the envelope.
