He played his last match against Mumbai Indians on 1 May, in which he had 9 runs with his bat. This season Rana scored 217 runs in 11 matches at an average of 21.70 and a strike rate of 161.94.
Replacement announced
After Nitish Rana is out, Rajasthan Royals have now announced a replacement. Rajasthan has included South African wicketkeeper-batsman Luan-Dra Pytorius in the team as a replacement. Luan-Drais Pritorius has played 33 T20 matches and scored 911 runs with a high of 97. He has been added to him at a base price of Rs 30 lakh. Pritorius has scored 436 runs in 5 first class matches and 577 runs in List A matches.
The 19 -year -old Pritorius made her debut for Parl Royals in the SA20 in January 2025. He scored 397 runs in 12 matches for Parl Royals at an average of 33.08 and a strike rate of 166.80. After seeing his brilliant performance, Hampshire County Cricket Club signed him in February 2025.
