Mercury dropped in Delhi-NCR after rain.
Light rain occurred in various areas of NCR including the capital Delhi on Saturday. After this rain, the temperature of Delhi has registered a decline. After rain on Saturday evening, the minimum temperature in the city was recorded at 7.7 degrees Celsius. India Meteorological Department (IMD) officials said the maximum temperature was recorded at 17 degrees Celsius, three degrees below normal. According to data shared by IMD, Safdarjung weather center recorded 1.6 millimeters (mm), Palam 2.4 mm, Delhi University two mm, Pusa 1.5 mm and Najafgarh four mm rainfall.
Chances of rain even today
According to IMD, there may be rain in many areas of Delhi-NCR on Sunday also. In this, there is a possibility of rain in many other areas including Karawal Nagar, Dilshad Garden, Seemapuri, Shahdara, Vivek Vihar, Preet Vihar, Najafgarh, Dwarka, Akshardham, Ayanagar and Deramandi. Apart from this, Delhi-NCR will remain cloudy throughout the day on Sunday. Apart from this, the maximum and minimum temperatures in Delhi are likely to be around 17 and 11 degrees Celsius respectively.
There will be fog in UP
Apart from this, the effect of cold is going to increase in the weather of UP. The Meteorological Department has also predicted light rain at some places in eastern and western Uttar Pradesh. During this time, an alert has been issued for dense fog, thunder and lightning. There is a possibility of dense fog in UP from January 13 to January 15.
Yellow alert in Uttarakhand
A yellow alert has been issued today regarding fog in the plains of Uttarakhand. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain with lightning in Dehradun, Nainital, Tehri, Haridwar, Pauri and Champawat. However, the weather will remain clear in the hilly districts from Monday. There are chances of fog in Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar. Let us tell you that due to snowfall in Badrinath Hemkund Sahib and Valley of Flowers, the cold has increased in the lower areas. The cold has increased in the surrounding areas including Jyotirmath, Pandukeshwar, while the lower areas remained cloudy since morning.
