Public interest litigation filed in Supreme Court in Mahakumbh stampede case, these demands have been made

A public interest litigation has been filed in the Supreme Court in the case of stampede death in Prayagraj Mahakumbh. The petition has demanded a status report on the stampede at Prayagraj Mahakumbh and action on the officials responsible for it. Supreme Court lawyer Vishal Tiwari has filed a PIL. It has also been said in the petition that concrete arrangements should be made for such incidents in religious events.

What is the demand in the petition?

Facilitation Center in Kumbh Mela area

The petition has demanded the opening of facility centers in the Kumbh Mela area by all states, which provides facilities to non-Hindi speaking people.

VIP Movement Control
The petition has demanded that VIP movement should be limited in such events, maximum space should be kept for the common man.

Dissemination of information in major languages

The petition has demanded that the states be informed by the states on mobile, WhatsApp to avoid stampede in large religious events and to give correct information to the people.

Installation of medical help desk

The petition has demanded that for the convenience of non-Hindi speaking people coming from other states of the country in major religious events like Kumbh, all the states have demanded a medical help desk to be set up in Kumbh.

Today’s 18th day of Mahakumbh

Please tell that today is the 18th day of Prayagraj Mahakumbh. After the stampede on Mauni Amavasya, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered the judicial commission to conduct an inquiry. Along with this, orders of police inquiry have also been given. On 3 February, there will be a Amrit bath on Basant Panchami. For this, UP Chief Secretary and DGP will visit Prayagraj. The entire fair area has been declared a no vehicle zone. All VIP passes have been canceled. By 4 February, devotees will have to go to Sangam on foot. The entry of four -wheelers has also been banned in Prayagraj city. Only bikes, ambulances and fire brigade vehicles will be allowed to go to the city.

90 people were injured in the accident yesterday, out of which 30 people have died, while 36 people are undergoing treatment. 24 people have been discharged after treatment. Among those who died, 19 are 19 devotees from UP, 4 in Karnataka and one devotee of Gujarat and Assam died in a stampede. 5 bodies have not been identified yet. The families of the deceased have announced a compensation of Rs 25-25 lakh.
