Prince Harry has reached an agreement with media mogul Rupert Murdoch’s newspaper The Sun. According to a New York Times report, Prince Harry’s lawyer said on Wednesday that The Sun has apologized to Prince Harry for interfering in his personal life.
After this apology, the long-running legal battle between Prince Harry and Rupert Murdoch has been resolved a day before the start of the court hearing. According to BBC, Prince Harry will get more than Rs 100 crore as compensation from this agreement.
Murdoch’s two news companies, News of the World and The Sun, were accused of hacking Prince Harry’s phone between 1996 and 2011, wrongly collecting his personal information.
Harry had alleged that such news were published more than 200 times in which his personal information was mentioned. The newspaper admitted that this was illegal. News of the World was closed in 2011.

Also apologized for Lady Diana The British newspaper has also apologized for its intrusion into the personal life of Prince Harry’s mother Lady Diana. Diana died in a car accident in Paris in 1997. Before the accident, many photographers were chasing Prince Diana to take pictures of her.
The newspaper The Sun issued a statement apologizing –

We apologize for the distress caused to Duke, the loss to his relationships, friendships and family and are prepared to pay him adequate compensation.
Harry said – the wait of 15 years is over Prince Harry’s dispute with The Sun has been going on for a long time. The newspaper had reported on everything from his girlfriend to taking drugs. Prince Harry had blamed the media for his mother’s death. Harry had said- Their (media) hands are stained with blood.
Prince Harry said that he is very happy with this historic victory. The wait of 15 years is now over.
Tom Watson said- Harry hunted a big animal Murdoch’s company has also apologized to former MP Tom Watson. Watson, leader of the Labor Party, is now a member of the House of Lords. Watson led a parliamentary investigation into Murdoch’s news company from 2009 to 2011. During this time, the British newspaper had spied on Watson.
Tom Watson said he admires Prince Harry’s ‘bravery and courage’. He succeeded in hunting the ‘big animals’ of the media houses.
