Prime Minister Narendra Modi today attended the Maha Kumbhbhishegam program of Shri Sanatan Dharma Alayam in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, Virtual. Indonesia President Prabovo Subianto and Prime Minister Joko Vidodo also attended during this period.
PM Modi said that it is my good fortune that I am becoming a part of a program like Maha Kumbhbhishegam of Murugan Temple in Jakarta. The presence of President Prabovo has made it more special. I may be physically hundreds of km away from Jakarta, but my mind is as close to this event as India’s mutual relationship. PM further said-
The relationship between India and Indonesia is not just Geopolitical. We are thousands of years old cultural and history. Our relationship is of heritage, knowledge, faith and shared faith, spirituality. Our relation is between Lord Murugan and Lord Rama, Lord Buddha.
When a person from India to Indonesia folds his hands in the Prambanan temple, he has the same spiritual feeling like Kashi and Kedar. When the people of India hear about Kakavin Ramayana, they have a sense of Valmiki and Kamb Ramayana.
A new chapter is being added through this temple
The Indian PM said that Ramlila of Indonesia is staged in India. When we listen to home Swasti Asti in Bali, the Vedic scholars of India remember the speech reading. You experience the same teachings of Buddha in Borobudur Stupa here, which we experience Sarnath. The Bali festival is still celebrated in Odisha.
Even today, when the people of India sit in Gurud Indonesia for air travel, they experience shared culture in it. When Prabovo came to India, both of us still spoke on this common heritage. Today, a new golden chapter is being added to this temple of Lord Murugan in Jakarta. This temple will become our temple not only of faith but also a cultural unity center.
India and Indonesia together will conserve the Prambanan Temple
I have been told that apart from Murugan, other deities have also been established in this temple. This diversity and plurality is the basis of our culture. This tradition of diversity in Indonesia is called Bhinneka Tungal Ika. India we call it unity in diversity.
People live in unity in India and Indonesia. Today’s holy day is inspiring us of unity in diversity. Our cultural values, heritage and heritage have been large between India and Indonesia. Together we have decided to conserve the Prambanan temple. We have to promote more such programs. Our past will be the basis of our golden future.
