Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated the India Mobility Global Expo 2025. It is India’s largest mobility expo, with over 100 new launches expected across automobiles, component products and technology. This expo will run from 17-22 January. According to PTI news, the expo is being held at Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi in the national capital and India Expo Center and Mart in Greater Noida. Union ministers Nitin Gadkari, HD Kumaraswamy, Jitan Ram Manjhi, Manohar Lal, Piyush Goyal and Hardeep Singh Puri were also present at the inauguration. The expo will have 5,100 international participants and is expected to attract more than 5 lakh visitors from across the world.
These cars are being launched and displayed
Passenger vehicle market leader Maruti Suzuki will unveil its first electric vehicle SUV e VITARA at the Bharat Mandapam and rival Hyundai Motor India Ltd is set to launch the Creta EV on the day itself. In the luxury segment, German major Mercedes-Benz will launch its electric EQS Maybach SUV, while will showcase the electric concept CLA and G electric SUVs. Similarly, compatriot BMW will showcase the all-electric BMW i7 apart from launching its new BMW X3. Over 1,000 exhibitors from around seven countries will participate in the component show to be held from January 18-21, 2025 at Yashobhoomi.
Beyond Borders: Co-creating the automotive value chain of the future is the theme of the expo.
According to the news, India Mobility Global Expo 2025 will bring the entire value chain of the mobility ecosystem under one roof. These range from automobile manufacturers to component, electronics parts, tire and energy storage manufacturers, and automotive software firms and material recyclers. With the theme Beyond Borders: Co-Creating the Automotive Value Chain of the Future, the global expo aims to foster collaboration and innovation in the automotive and mobility sector with an emphasis on sustainable and cutting-edge technological advancements, with over 9 concurrent Show, more than 20 conferences and pavilions will be organised. The expo will also feature state sessions to showcase policies and initiatives in the mobility sector, enabling collaboration at industry and regional levels.

Supported by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the global expo is being organized by industry associations including Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA), Automotive Tire Manufacturers Association (ATMA), Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association (ICEMA), NASSCOM, Indian Steel Association, Material Recycling Association of India and CII.
