PM Kisan: 9.8 crore farmers across the country are waiting for the 20th installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-Kisan). According to reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi can release this installment during a public meeting in Motihari, Bihar on 18 July. However, it has not been officially confirmed yet. Under the PM Kisan Yojana, farmers are given 2,000 installments every four months. The first 19 installments have been released, in which the 19th installment came in February 2025. Usually this installment is given in June, but this time it is delayed.
Will the 20th installment come today?
If the reports are correct, then on July 18, Prime Minister Modi can directly transfer 2,000 to farmers’ bank accounts by pressing a button. However, no information has been given officially from the government’s testing or on the PM farmer’s website yet.
EKYC should be to avail the scheme
To get the benefit of the scheme, it is necessary to complete the EKYC of the farmers, link to the bank account Aadhaar and the documents related to the land are necessary. Under this scheme, farmers are given financial assistance of Rs 6,000 annually, which is available by Rs 2,000-2,000 in three installments. This amount is transferred directly to farmers’ bank accounts through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).

Click on State Transfer Request on the homepage.
Fill your registration number or Aadhaar number.
Enter the captcha code, then click on Get OTP.
Upload documents related to your name (measles, khatauni etc.).
Check and submit information.

Your bank account should be linked to Aadhaar.
The facility of DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) should be turned on.
E-kyc must be completed
Go to the PM-Kisan portal and check the status of Aadhaar linking from Know Your Status.

Fill the information in the Village Dashboard.
Choose state, district, block and panchayat.
Click on Get Report.
Check your name in the list.
